About Ammar Rizvi MBA, RN
Ammar Rizvi is a registered nurse, healthcare executive, and founder of Rockwell Healthcare Advisors. His career spans bedside nursing, public health, clinical operations, healthcare risk management, quality improvement, workforce development, and regional healthcare leadership.
He began his nursing career caring for patients across cardiac, medical-surgical, stroke, and critical care settings. Those early clinical experiences shaped his understanding of how communication, coordination, safety, and effective leadership influence not only patient outcomes, but the experience of families navigating complex healthcare systems.
As his career progressed, Ammar advanced into increasingly complex healthcare leadership roles. He has led public health programs serving large communities, supported vulnerable and underserved populations, managed multidisciplinary clinical teams, and overseen healthcare operations across multiple facilities.
His experience includes communicable disease response, infection prevention, homelessness and medical respite initiatives, clinical quality improvement, patient safety, healthcare risk management, correctional healthcare leadership, and workforce development. In regional leadership roles, he has been responsible for large teams, multimillion-dollar healthcare operations, and complex clinical environments requiring strong oversight, strategic decision-making, problem-solving, and risk awareness.
Throughout his career, Ammar has developed a systems-based approach to healthcare improvement. He believes many healthcare challenges are not the result of a single event or individual, but rather gaps in communication, workflow, policy, education, leadership, or coordination. Identifying and addressing those underlying vulnerabilities can strengthen organizations, support healthcare professionals, improve the patient experience, and reduce unnecessary risk.
That philosophy became a foundation for Rockwell Healthcare Advisors and its commitment to providing trusted guidance to both families and healthcare organizations.
Ammar holds a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a Bachelor of Arts. He is currently pursuing doctoral studies in healthcare administration, further expanding his work at the intersection of healthcare leadership, strategy, quality, and organizational performance.
Ammar also serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of the American Journal of Healthcare Strategy and the Advisory Board for Alverno College of Nursing, where he contributes expertise in healthcare leadership, clinical quality, workforce development, and strategic healthcare improvement.
